What does the title say ? There are two possibilities. Which one can you see ?
Spoilers ahead, in this situation, 24 months seems a hell of a long time, especially at the age of conscription into the Milatary. In this situation though, the guys can't cheat on the girls. The typical lovey dovey couple has the girl going off with the guys best friend ! I feel bad for the guy. The only couple that seemed to get out still together was the one where the woman was older and had been through a lot of relationships. My feelings it's a tough test and if you come out of it bad you know things weren't meant to be.
I think I've been listening to too much my chemical romance with lyrics like these that resonate with me ..
"Now come on come all to this tragic affair
wipe off that make-up
What's in is despair
So throw on the black dress
Mix in with the lot
You might wake up and notice
You're someone you're not
If you look in the mirror and don't like what you see
You can find out first hand what it's like to be me
So gather 'round piggies and kiss this goodbye
I'd encourage your smiles
I'll expect you won't cry"
years ago I had some fresh scars on my arms and this girl I knew at the time asked me if I had been cutting myself with a knife. Of course not I replied, why would I want to do that ? She then said that all her school friends routinely did it. I was quite shocked to hear about it.
This is quite weird and I think it would only be me who felt this kind of thing ...
Though it's only happened to me as a child ... when sometimes I would sit and stare into the mirror .. after sitting there for long enough I began to feel a kind of ... maybe "out of body" like experience ... the image in the mirror looked like me, but it was n't me ? Kind of seeing yourself from a third person perspective, which differs from my own inner self image ...
What makes an ordinary everyday object have value to one person yet no value to everybody else. The memories associated with that object.
Memories make us what we are, they make us laugh and cry. We can't remember everything and objects help us remember, which is why we place value on them. Smells, sounds and images also have the power to invoke memories.
Some people buy DVDs of shows they watched as kids, if these shows were on new today, nobody would watch them, the animation and story lines are probably poor. Folks buy them for the associated memories and nostalgia.
Make it easier for yourself, record your memories in your diary, journal or blog. Sometime in the future you will looking back into your past.
Interesting article from the BBC about Maths, I quote "The UK remains one of the few advanced nations where it is socially
acceptable, fashionable even, to profess an inability to cope with
maths,"
I can't say Maths was my favourite subject, but I do study and do A-levels maths. I sit in the middle, which leads me to some interesting maths subject in an effort to discard the dull image of maths.
Say your back at school, what is the probability that in your class of say 23 people, two people have the same birthday. Ignoring leap years that's 365 days a year. What is the answer ? Less than 10 % ? How many people would you need to guarantee two people have the same birthday ?
According to the Birthday paradox , you have a fifty fifty chance that two people in a group of 23 will share the same birthday, assuming you have a uniform distribution. Only a group of around 57 people are needed to guarantee a 99% chance two people will have the same birthday.
Back at school I knew some people who shared the same birthday, they
used to hand out sweets & candy on the day. I also know some people
who share the same birthday.
I had to dig out my old total air max II. There are in the silver and red, which are well worn too. So worn that the air soles are close to popping, imagine walking around on deflated air soles ! pssst pssst pssst the noise of the air leaking out while walking. I'll have to scrounge around for some money, shoes are expensive !
Lately in the news is the Austrian guy who shockingly locked away his own daughter away for 24 years. The repercussions of this have an effect on a whole country and it's people. Local radio stations in London and the BBC have been asking "Are you Austrian, and if so how do you think this latest abuse scandal will affect your country's citizens and Austria's reputation internationally? How do you think your country will cope with this in the long term?". I find it bizarre how you could link the actions of an individual who is not elected to a whole country. Granted there has been two other similar cases of people getting locked away in cellars but does that mean the whole country and everyone in it is at fault ?
We are seeing too much of this mass labelling, when it's only the actions of a few. It's unfortunate, it's life.
What do you do when you feel old to recapture your youth ? Buy a brand new sport's car ? Nope can't afford one. Instead I bought a new bicycle. Hand crafted in Taiwan, it has a front suspension so I can attempt some downhill jumps and ride on some trails.
I haven't ridden a bicycle in years, the last time I was on a bicycle. I managed to crash into the ground and cut my head with blood dripping down my brow. That wasn't the worse part, I also fractured my arm which led to internal bleeding. So my elbow swelled so much that I couldn't move my arm. I ended up in hospital having to be impaled by gigantic syringe to drain out all the blood.
Some days I wake up in bed prematurely, I have an annoying trait that if I ever wake up like this it's very difficult for me to get back to sleep again, so rather than roll around in bed. I get up and go to work much earlier, like today. It's not such a bad thing, getting up a bit earlier has the benefits of less traffic on the road so the journey is every so slightly serene, when you have the time to notice the morning mist rolling gently over the green hill tops. Though that soon disappears into an urban traffic jam, I enjoyed it while it lasted.
